Do you forgive from the heart?

For you, does forgiveness mean forgiving and forgetting? Or do you claim to forgive yet still hold a grudge? God promised to forgive the sin of Job's well-meaning but totally wrong friends. He didn't plan on reminding them about their sin later. Forgiveness is just like God says- it's not treating someone as he/she deserves. It also means wiping the slate completely clean. Is there someone who needs your forgiveness? How willing are you to totally forgive from the heart? Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you.

Like an old owl once said...

We often associate wisdom with old age, like the wise old owl and the wizened, white-haired professor. We make the mistake of thinking that we can't really be wise till we're way older. While it's true that wisdom often comes from experience, we can also become wise by doing several things: accepting advice from parents and the other adults we trust, following God's commands and actively seeking wisdom. The Lord promises to give wisdom to those who go after it. Got wisdom? Proverbs 2: 1-9 My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, 2 Turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, 3 and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, 4 and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, 5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. 6 For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. 7 He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, 8 for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. 9 Then you will understand what is right and just and fair-every good path.

Do you have courage?

Are you willing to stand for what's right-even if no one else will? When King Ahab asked King Jehoshaphat to join him in war, Jehoshaphat wanted to ask God for advice. So Ahab called for the prophets, all 401 of them. while the 400 false prophets advised the king to go, only one-Micaiah-said no. Micaiah was brave enough to speak the truth when everyone else was telling Ahab what he wanted to hear. Resisting the urge to follow the crowd takes courage. Do you have courage? 1 kings 22:1-28

Genuine Security

Most girls grow up knowing that their moms love them deeply. Even if she doesn't always show it, well, your mom loves you- that's what moms are meant to do. And even if she gets caught up in her job or her own issues, she's still thinking about you- she never forgets you. God loves you! Even if your mom were to forget you- God NEVER does. You can find security knowing God thinks of you constantly and loves you deeply. And if you have a mom who left you or failed you, then you know that God NEVER will. Some or you girls may have issues with your moms but we are to respect and honor them because they are our mothers. I have issues with my mom a lot and I try my hardest to respect and honor her even in the hardest times, yes we are human and we make mistakes but its how we go about fixing them that really matters.
Isaiah 49:15-16 15"Can a mother forget a baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! 16 See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.
