Where is your focus?

Jesus wants us to just focus our eyes on him because when we take our focus off him we begin to be afraid and doubt him. Peter wanted Jesus and trusted him but when he saw the storm he took his eyes off Jesus and sank. We need to trust Jesus and keep our eyes on him.
Matthew 14:25-31 25 During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear. 27 But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid." 28 "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water." 29 "Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!" 31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"

How far will you go for God?

I don't know if you know the story of shadrach, mesach, and abednego but I'm going to tell a short version.
Well these three guys shadrach, mesach, and abednego were Christians and worked for this rich dude named nebuchadnezzar (try saying that ten times fast) who was not a christian, anyway nebuchadnezzar wanted everyone to bow and believe in false gods and the three guys shadrach, mesach, and abednego were like "No dude we got one God and that's Jesus we aren't bowing to your gods." so they got in trouble and were thrown in the furnace but the cool part of this story is God sent an angel with them in the furnace and they came out without even the smell of fire on them. My point of telling you this story is that these guys risked their lives for God and whats right instead of taking the easy way out just because everyone else was. Maybe God is telling you to do what is right and walk into that furnace (not literally) and you don't know but God has an angel waiting to protect you in there. How far will you go?

This story is found in Daniel 3

Freedom isn't free.

Our troops go to war thinking Will I die today? What about my family back home?. They risk their lives so we can be free. I can't thank them enough for what they do for our country; it's because of them I can freely write this blog about God, so thank you veterans for putting your lives on the line so I can be free! John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Surrendering

Do you ever get so overwhelmed from trying to do everything right? God wants to help you we just need to surrender it to him. We need to surrender everything to him; school, work, relationships everything. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall make your paths straight.

Temple?

What do you see when you look in the mirror? A temple? Because that is what we are. God says are body is a temple. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own, 20 You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him with your body.

Forgivness

How do you forgive? Do you just say it? Everyone has heard the term forgive and forget, but is that really what we should do? God doesn't forget our sins he chooses not to remember them. When we forgive we need to truly forgive. Forgiving by first the heart then choosing not to bring it up again. Do you forgive like this? Matthew 5:44
But I tell you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Be you!

The best person you can be is you! :) You are who you are because God created you that way; don't be someone else because you think people will like you better that way. Be who you were created to be. Be you! Psalms 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
